Red Walls is a new build detached house located in the Legh Road Conservation Area of Knutsford. The accommodation is set over three floors with an attached garage. The proposal is unashamedly modern in overall form and detailed design, particularly in terms of its flat roof, massing and rectilinear elements. However, it nestles well in the street scene and responds sensitively to its immediate context in terms of scale, materials, massing and detailed design.

The building does not compromise the spaciousness of the plot, and the plan has evolved to ensure that the primary living spaces benefit from the garden to three sides and have a connection with the south facing front garden.

Red Walls won 'Best Unbuilt Private House' at the Manchester Society of Architects 2014 design awards.

We are delighted to have received planning permission (Aug 2014) at the Cheshire East north planning committee. The scheme completed on site Spring 2017.

The project was awarded 'Best Unbuilt Residential Project' at the 2014 MSA awards.
