Client: Private family
Structural engineer: Phil Slaughter
The project involves the extension and refurbishment of a dwelling located in the south Manchester suburb of Cheadle. The proposal is for the partial demolition, refurbishment and extension of the existing house and the addition of a two storey contemporary rear and side extension, all to provide a large kitchen/dining/family space on the ground floor, and additional bedroom space on the first floor.
The project uses a buff-multi brick and bronze cladding on the extension, and an off-white render with dark-grey aluminium windows to refurbish the existing building fabric.
The project is due to start on site late 2018.
